Status on 22 October 2026
The 2026 competition is finished. Both finals were played at Lord's on 16 August 2026, and The Hundred's official past-winners page lists Manchester Super Giants as men's champions and Trent Rockets as women's champions.
The 2026 finals
- Men: Manchester Super Giants beat Trent Rockets by five wickets, chasing 158 with three balls to spare (press report, Radio X; the champion is confirmed on the official site).
- Women: Trent Rockets beat SunRisers Leeds. The official site confirms Trent Rockets as champions, but our research did not find the winning margin, so we do not give one.
Winners by year
A note on names. The Hundred's official past-winners page uses the 2026 team names, even for titles won under an earlier name. It shows MI London with the note "formerly Oval Invincibles" and SunRisers Leeds with the note "formerly Northern Superchargers". So the team that won as Oval Invincibles appears on that list as MI London, and the 2025 women's champions, who won as Northern Superchargers, appear as SunRisers Leeds. We give both names below.
| Year | Men's winner | Women's winner |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Southern Brave | Oval Invincibles (listed now as MI London) |
| 2022 | Trent Rockets | Oval Invincibles (listed now as MI London) |
| 2023 | Oval Invincibles (listed now as MI London) | Southern Brave |
| 2024 | Oval Invincibles (listed now as MI London) | London Spirit |
| 2025 | Oval Invincibles (listed now as MI London) | Northern Superchargers (listed now as SunRisers Leeds) |
| 2026 | Manchester Super Giants | Trent Rockets |
Source: The Hundred's official past-winners page, read on 22 October 2026. The page attaches the "formerly" notes to the team names but does not give the year each team changed its name. A City AM press report of 4 November 2025 said Northern Superchargers would be known as SunRisers Leeds from the 2026 season, and reported Oval Invincibles becoming MI London without giving a season for that change; on that report, the titles up to 2025 were won under the earlier names.
Read that way, the men's team now called MI London won three titles in a row from 2023 to 2025, and the women's team won the first two editions in 2021 and 2022.
How The Hundred is played
The competition's official rules page (carrying a 2026 footer) sets out the format:
- Each innings is 100 balls.
- Ends change after every 10 balls.
- A bowler delivers either 5 or 10 balls in a row, as the captain chooses, and no bowler may bowl more than 20 balls.
- The powerplay lasts 25 balls, and only two fielders may be outside the 30-yard circle during it.
- Each bowling side has one strategic timeout of up to 90 seconds.
- League points are 4 for a win, 0 for a loss, and 2 each for a tie or no result.
The timeout length is given two ways. The ECB's original announcement of the playing conditions allowed a strategic timeout of up to two and a half minutes (seen through a search summary); the current rules page says 90 seconds, and that is the figure we give above.
Status of the matches
The ICC's Classification of Official Cricket (with effect from 1 July 2026) lists The Men's Hundred and the Women's Hundred among England's Twenty20 competitions, alongside the Blast, while the County Championship is listed as first-class and the One Day Cup as List A. More on how the ICC classes matches is on formats.
Since when
MCC records 2021 as the year The Hundred launched, which matches the first year on the official winners list.
The Hundred publishes its own "where to watch" page for 2026; our research saw only its title, so the broadcasters are not listed here. See watching cricket for what the ECB has stated for England's Tests.
