Timeline

A timeline of cricket history.

Every row below comes from the sources used across the History section. Where sources disagree about a date, the row gives each version and the source column says who gives which. Rows marked unconfirmed rest on a single secondary source or a search summary we could not check.

This table gathers the main dated events from the History pages. Each row names its source. "Wikipedia" means the fact rests on Wikipedia alone in our research, and "summary" means we saw the source only as a search summary. Where a date is disputed, the row gives each version, and the full story is on the History page for that subject. Corruption cases appear only as official decisions, and deaths only briefly, as published history. Results after 2019 come from the governing bodies' own releases.
